Okay so last saturday one of my best guy friends decided to call me and we talked for almost an hour about pretty much nothing like we usually do. After a while has passed of us talking he asks me about how do I feel about him after he confessed to me that he loved me since he first saw me (he said his little confession about a almost a month and a half ago). Sure when asked it was a little awkward for me because well...I always looked at us as being good friends and nothing else. So when I told him I had to be honest with him and just told him point-blank over the phone and said "I don't love you." Now after a few seconds of hearing me say this to him he just went silent and started crying and kept asking me why don't I love him or why wasn't attracted to him and I kept telling him even before he confessed to me that I thought he already knew that I didn't like him even though I would play around and mess with him sometimes. Soooo now I think that ever since I told him that I've been feeling bad yesterday and all day today because I felt like I broke his heart into like a billion pieces when I told him how I really felt about him. But don't you think that I should've lied to him and say that I liked him too when I really don't and have find out eventually or I was right for telling the truth in the first place but I should've just let him down easy?
